Tromso Olympiad Recap: Rd. 4

Now for everyone’s favorite part, the upsets! This round saw a fair amount of high level upsets, I think you’ll all be please with my selections. Unfortunately due to some time constraints (and stupid people on the internet that I had to argue with) I won’t be analyzing or commenting on these games as much today; hopefully you all can just enjoy them at face value.

Love these articles. On the Rd4 report, however, on upset No.1, White is mating in two moves…the result can’t be right. I think I saw something similar in round 5 as well. Keep it up!

Yes, white is mating in 2 moves, I mistakenly had the names reversed in the header (I fixed it, so it should be fine now). In the game the information was correct; thank you for pointing this out, glad you’re enjoying these!

I fixed the last post as well, numerous mistakes in that one. In my haste to get these out I’ve been a bit sloppy, thank god today is the rest day.
