Quick Blitz Analysis – 4/13/20

As I mentioned in my last post, my play hasn’t been great lately. I’ve been playing in those arena tournaments on chess.com where inevitably i lose to someone much lower rated and finish just out of the top three. This game I chose because it’s a good example of the old adage, “In opposite colored bishop endings, the side that is attacking usually wins.” (Or something like that, I don’t remember the exact quote and can’t seem to find it right now). The reason for this, is fairly straightforward, the other persons bishop can’t help in the defense and is rendered fairly useless.
