This game and the one after it are what I was referring to in the beginning of this post (about the players you’ve never heard of). The games are of course not to the quality that we’ve seen thus far but it’s still fun to go through and see someone make the achievement of their career on an international stage.
1. Greenidge (1630) – CM Mannhart (2105) 1-0
Here it is! The biggest upset of the third round. This game was cool because although white was winning most of the game the result (for me anyhow) was in doubt until the very end.
